The Right Terminal for Your Turnstile Line

For Vennex turnstile installations we use the PAVO UN20, PAX IM30 and PAX IM25 models. All three are built for unattended operation and are weatherproof terminals designed to withstand outdoor conditions.

Terminal selection depends on passage volume, mounting point (on top of the turnstile arm, totem, or wall-mounted) and your network infrastructure. The compact IM25 is recommended for single-point passages, and the high-durability UN20 for busy dock/terminal lines.

— Security & Transaction Flow

Zero Errors Even at High Throughput

01

PCI-DSS Level 1

The entire payment flow passes through certified infrastructure; card data is never stored on the terminal.

02

NFC Tokenization

For contactless payments, a one-time token is transmitted instead of the real card number.

03

Dual Connectivity

Runs with 4G and Ethernet/WiFi redundancy. Even if the primary line goes down, passage is not interrupted.

04

Double-Payment Prevention

If the same card is tapped twice in a short interval, the software rejects the second transaction.

— Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

01

In what environments is a turnstile payment system used?

It can be used anywhere with high passage volume, such as bus terminals, ferry and boat docks, construction sites and concert/festival entry points.

02

How fast is processing in the turnstile system?

It can process 1-2 passengers per second. Hourly capacity can reach 1,000+ passengers, and the system delivers uninterrupted service with a 99.9% uptime guarantee.

03

Which payment methods are supported for turnstiles?

We support Mastercard, VISA, Troy debit/credit cards, İstanbulkart, Multinet, Metropol, Setcard, Ticket and TokenFlex meal and transit cards, as well as contactless (NFC) payment.

04

Are the turnstile terminals suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. The PAVO UN20, PAX IM30 and PAX IM25 models we use are designed for unattended and outdoor use. With an IP65/IP67 protection rating they are protected against water and dust and operate reliably at temperatures from -20°C to +70°C.

05

How is transaction security ensured at turnstile passages?

All transactions pass through PCI-DSS Level 1 certified infrastructure and are encrypted end to end with AES-256. Contactless payments use NFC tokenization; the card number is never transmitted in the clear on the terminal or the network. Unintended double payments with the same card in quick succession are blocked on the software side.

06

Does the turnstile system keep working during an internet outage?

Vennex terminals run with 4G + Ethernet/WiFi redundancy. If the primary connection drops, the system automatically switches to the backup; passages continue uninterrupted. Transaction records are kept locally and synced to the central dashboard once the connection is restored.

07

Can I monitor passages and revenue centrally?

Yes. Through the Vennex management dashboard, hourly/daily/monthly passage counts, revenue, payment method breakdown and device status (online/offline) are monitored in real time. If you have multiple points, location-based reporting is also done from the dashboard; the dashboard is accessible from desktop and mobile browsers.
